If you are interested in purchasing the 2026 Overnight Parking Spot the live auction at Taste of the Fair, there are some rules that must be followed. We want to make sure those interested have all of the information prior to the event so plans can be made accordingly for the night of Taste of the Fair.
The rules are as follows:
- The site sizes vary in the Livestock Lot. The maximum site is 14′ x 50′; the camping unit itself can be no larger than 14′ wide with all sides extended, and 50′ long including anything protruding.
- You must arrive by Aug. 26. Your camping unit needs to stay the entirety of the 13 days, but it is preferred that you arrive the Sunday before the fair starts.
- Your site will have access to power; however, amperage varies between sites. It is recommended to be prepared with your own electrical adapter. (There will be a limited number of electrical adapters available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Livestock Parking office.)
- The Livestock Lots do NOT include water or sewer. This is a dry parking lot. You may not deposit any refuse or empty any gray water, fluid wastewater or other liquids onto the ground or into streets, gutters, or catch basins. A sewage service is available from a contracted service provider for a fee. Two shower trailers are available for all overnight parkers. Access to these showers is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Personal fuel-powered generators are prohibited in the Livestock Lots.
- Wood-burning fire pits or open flame campfires are not allowed.
- Once your camping unit is on the grounds, you are admitted into the fair and do not need daily admission tickets. If you do not stay in the unit on the night of Aug. 26 (the day before the fair) you will have to pay for admission for the first day of the fair. If you need to leave for the night and do not return until the next morning, you will need a ticket to enter. However, if you leave the grounds during the day, you may get a hand stamp to re-enter that same day.
- If your tow vehicle fits entirely within your assigned overnight camping space, you may park it there for no extra cost. If it does not fit within that space, you’ll need to disconnect it and park in Lot C, Lot D, or the West Como Lot as directed by Livestock Parking staff, also at no extra cost. Once parked, your tow vehicle must remain in that spot and cannot be moved during the fair.
- Service animals are accepted, but no pets are allowed. Livestock animals that are being exhibited also cannot be in the overnight parking area.
- You are only allowed one overnight parking spot. The winner of this auction item may NOT enter the overnight parking lottery in 2026.
