Taste of the Fair

Kick off the State Fair with food, drinks and support for the Minnesota State Fair Foundation through auctions and entertainment.

As the Foundation’s largest fundraising event, the Taste of the Fair plays an important role in supporting State Fair capital and program improvements.  You can join in the fun as a guest, a sponsor or by donating an auction item.

Become a Sponsor!
You can show your support of the State Fair Foundation mission by becoming a Taste of the Fair sponsor!  Sponsor benefits include event tickets, State Fair admission tickets, and recognition in multiple printed materials.  If you are interested in learning more about sponsorship levels and benefits call Lindsay Dickson at (651) 632-2659 or email info@msffoundation.org.

Donate an Auction Item!
Your donation of a product, service or experience for our live and silent auctions will not only help raise funds in support of the State Fair but will also promote your company to the event’s 500+ guests.  If you are interested in donating an auction item call Lindsay Dickson at (651) 632-2659 or email info@msffoundation.org.

State Fair Story

"I’d waited all winter long to experience the Fair and now it was here. After a magical day, my Mom and Dad and I relaxed in the Park as the sun set and the dancing colors of the Horticultural Building’s tower signaled us that the first Saturday of the Fair was nearly over. I was joyful, but a little sad. I had already used up one of my precious Fair days. I was five!

And now, years later, I still feel like that little girl when I participate in “A Taste of the Fair”. The experience I waited for all year is back.  But, this time there’s no sadness.   Now, it’s perfect -- fun at the Fair without using up a “Fair day”.
