Minnesota State Fair Foundation Mission

Contribute to the Beautification of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds
The Great Minnesota Get-Together is widely known for its beautiful landscape, including tens of thousands of flowers, trees, shrubs and topiaries. The State Fair faces increased challenges, however, in preserving and improving the fair’s landscape. Your gift will be used directly for landscape improvements, disease prevention and reforestation, and to help keep the State Fairgrounds filled with beautiful greenery and shade for generations of fairgoers.

Support the Historical Preservation of Historic Buildings on the Fairgrounds
Your gift will contribute to the renovation and preservation of historic Minnesota State Fair Buildings, many of which are over 100 years old or soon will be. Estimates show that it will take millions of dollars over the next ten years to renovate landmark buildings.

For detailed information, please call (651) 632-2621.

Support Agricultural Education at the Fair Through Improvements to the Moo Booth
To open at the 2009 Minnesota State Fair, the new Moo Booth will replace the current exhibit that has not been updated since 1984. Continuing the tradition of strong agricultural education offerings at the fair, the improved Moo Booth will demonstrate the agricultural processes that bring food to our tables. The improved Moo Booth will have more room for demonstrations and feature an industrial milk processor.

Support the Preservation and Improvement of the Fine Arts Center
The Fine Arts Center (1907) is one of the oldest structures on the fairgrounds. Preserving and improving this historic structure promotes restoration of quality architecture, energy efficiencies and enhanced functionality.

Support the Minnesota State Fair Family Archive Project
With a history older than the State of Minnesota, many Minnesota families have strong connections to the State Fair. The Minnesota State Fair Foundation is working to build an interactive archive of State Fair family histories to share with current and future generations. Your gift will support efforts to preserve existing State Fair archival materials and the creation of a multimedia State Fair history resource.
