Educational Enrichment– Donate
The State Fair is a place for all to learn through a variety of educational experiences. Visitors to the fair have the opportunity to learn about horticulture, agriculture, history, career paths, ecology, entertainment, health and more.
The Foundation’s upcoming activities in support of this program area include upgrades to the Education Building, improved access to education programs; and a reading and literacy partnership for the 2010 State Fair.
History and Heritage – Donate
The State Fair celebrates our history, heritage and traditions through preservation of buildings and archival materials. With more than 150 years of history, the Minnesota State Fair has generations of family stories and connections that are essential to our great Minnesota culture.
Many of the State Fair’s valuable records are not stored in a manner that promotes long-term preservation. The fair has a need to preserve the records and artifacts that document its unique history, and to make it accessible to the public year-round.

Agricultural Education – Donate
The State Fair offers facilities and programs that celebrate agricultural excellence and connect visitors with the farm-to-fork experience. Today, most of the State Fair visitors are several generations removed from the family farms of our grandparents’ generation. The State Fair is committed to educating Minnesotans about the food they eat.
Funds devoted to agricultural education support projects like the Moo Booth, CHS Miracle of Birth Center, and more.

Environmental Applications – Donate
The fairgrounds offer a learning lab that is universally accessible, green and welcoming with visitor amenities, energy efficiencies, alternative energy applications and beautiful landscaping.
To millions of annual visitors, the trees on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds are truly a treasure. Many of the majestic trees and lush canopies that shade the fairgrounds have been lost in recent years to disease and extreme weather. The Foundation is active in preserving the “urban forest” on the fairgrounds.

Cultural and Artistic Endeavors – Donate
The State Fair presents diverse performance and competitive offerings in art, dance, music, theater, creative activities and related areas.
The State Fair is also home to Minnesota’s largest juried art show. Each year Minnesota artists connect with over 250,000 fair guests – it is an unparalleled forum for arts education, representing a broad spectrum of mediums and the finest of talents. The Fine Arts Center, constructed in 1907, is one of the oldest structures on the fairgrounds and is in need of preservation. Improving this historic structure promotes restoration of quality architecture, energy efficiencies and enhanced functionality.
