 State Fair Story"I started going to the fair in 1943 – at that time I was in 4-H and I exhibited dairy calf. I especially enjoyed seeing Machinery Hill, all the livestock and the educational exhibits. In my 65 years at the fair, I’ve only missed about five fairs. I really enjoy coming back to see the same old things along with the new things. It’s such a way of life for so many people, just going to the fair. The fair itself has stayed up with what people like to know and need to know.
